The Tulip (1606 Queen St. E): The eggs benedict are an orangey soupy mess - avoid. I longingly looked at Andrew's Rueben and wished I had ordered a burger instead. The booths are cozy and the staff was really nice and it's a good place to go if you're in the Beaches, but yeah - don't get the eggs benedict. I still feel a litle queasy.

i ate there once when i lived in the beaches. i do believe i had peameal on a kaiser (pre-veg!) and homefries.. the sammich was good but i remember their homefries being really spicy/peppery? (which means id probably love them now. ha)
yeah, they're not the best homefries, but they're okay. i like them a bit crispier. i liked their regular fries though!
