Eliot was talking about - February is definitely the cruellest month. Mood swings and depression abound and term papers loom and tiger editors tear apart articles and the weather keeps your shoulders hunched and your head bowed. A couple more hours slaving at this computer and I’m going to go outside, hope there’s a bit of spring left from the past couple days – that muddy smell – and attend a yoga class to soothe the shakes.

I just finished baking vegan oatmeal banana carob cookies and doing dishes while listening to the CBC radio coverage of the Mel Lastman conference. He's expected to announce that he won't run for Toronto mayor next year. Mel just finished waxing a love song to Toronto. In a weird way it reminded me of Woody Allen's Manhattan. Despite the sound clips of his recent bloopers, the coverage is succeeding in impressing me with all his accomplishments.

Now I'm going to get back to working on a screenplay assignment for tonight and reading Annie Hall for inspiration. I've recently discovered an interest in reading/writing drama and screenplays, especially dramatic verse, poetry in verse that is...a fun intersection between prose and poetry. I want to incorporate these forms into my collage collection.

I was delighted to find my favourite gluten-free cereal and brand of miso on Fredericton shelves.

My parents recently installed a wood stove in the living room, so the coldest and most deserted room in the house has become the most popular. I've spent most of my time curled up in front of the fire reading reading reading and pounding poetry into my laptop while consuming cup upon cup of herbal tea.

What with the fresher air in Fredericton and the incredibly comfy bed where I always sleep long & better and being whisked away from Toronto pressures into a stress-free no obligation lifestyle, I always find my complection clears up noticeably within a few days of arrival.

Tonight I hope to find my dear oldest pal Jill and go play.

I've a few more days of Toronto play before I head home to Fredericton land, where I'll remain for two and a half weeks. I'm slightly apprehensive about such an extended visit home, as I don't think I've been home for more than a week and a half since I moved out two and a half years ago.
