Weekend Surfing Roundup
There's a connection between sex and Spring cleaning, the CBC has announced the picks for Canada Reads 2006, Douglas Coupland has a new book that sounds like fun if a little, uh, overly selfreferential (I'm skeptical but will probably read it anyway), and Jan Wong becomes a maid for a month, à la Barbara Ehrenreich.

I thought of Nickle and Dimed when I read Jan Wong's columns too.

re: the above comment and your entry, yeah, the jan wong thing is total nickle and dimed! i only read the first instalment a few weeks ago, but i thought it was strange that she didn't reference the book considering that her insights are pretty similar. does she ever mention it?
teri: that's what i was thinking: hasn't all this been done/said before? she does mention nickel and dimed here (in the comments section, not the actual articles).
Oops, she also references Nickel and Dimed in the third installment.
Enjoyed a lot!
